How we order results

When you see a list of spaces for a city or therapy, the order is not random and is not just the date a listing joined Marcar Terapias. This page explains, plainly, the criteria we use and which one carries the most weight.
1. Paid plans appear first
Spaces on the Destaque (Featured) plan appear before everyone else, followed by spaces on the Visível (Visible) plan. That is what these paid plans sell: more visibility in search results. A card labelled "Destaque" is in that position because the space pays for it, not because we rated it better than the others. This only applies while the subscription is active.
2. Then, claimed spaces first
Among spaces with no paid plan, those claimed by their own owner appear before those that are not. A claimed profile is more likely to have up-to-date information, because someone from the space confirmed or corrected the details.
3. Then, rating and number of reviews
Within each of those groups, we order by rating (ours, when Marcar Terapias reviews exist, or Google's, labelled as such) and then by review count. A space with more positive reviews appears before one with few or none.
What this is not
- We do not remove or hide spaces for not having a paid plan.
- We do not edit reviews to favour spaces that pay.
- Paying for a plan is not a condition for being on Marcar Terapias: the free plan stays active and keeps appearing in search results.
